Wax-a-Peel is a destination day spa in the San Francisco East Bay. We specialize in waxing, skincare (face & body), airbrushed tanning & Yumi Lashes.

Our Owner
Meet Leah
“Your smile is your logo, your personality is your business card, how you leave others feeling after having an experience with you becomes your trademark.”
With nearly 20 years in the industry, Leah is a skincare veteran. She’s been a licensed Esthetician for nearly 15 of those years – having graduated from Robinson’s Cosmetology School.
Prior to founding Wax A Peel in 2011, Leah began her post-license career working for a Plastic Surgeon as a Clinical Esthetician – performing primarily chemical peels and cellulite treatments. She’s worked as the Head Esthetician for Clarins Cosmetics – helping them open their pilot store in San Francisco.
Leah also spent 2 years honing her craft at an upscale waxing salon – nailing down the best and least painful techniques for waxing.
She’s completed & received certifications for the level 1 and level 2 Advanced Peels Classes through Aesthetics Plus Training Center as well as certificates in advanced waxing including Body Beautiful Full Body techniques, the Cirepil Stripless Wax Course, and the Brazilian specialization course at Aesthetics Plus.
She’s extremely passionate about what she does and genuinely enjoys being an Esthetician. She calls it her calling and feels blessed to have so many wonderful & amazing clients that enrich her life.
